Dr. Tafra, since joining the AAMC Breast Center in 1999, has actively participated in breast research and clinical care. She participated in the initial development of the sentinel node technique for breast cancer and founded the Breast Surgery fellowship at AAMC. She is active in collaborative research with Walter Reed Army Medical Center, East Carolina University and Johns Hopkins University Medical Center, where she also holds an academic appointment in surgery.

Dr. Liang joined the AAMC Breast Center in September 2009. A native of Salisbury, MD, Dr. Liang returned to Maryland from Ohio, where she was in private practice specializing in breast care and surgery since 2001.

Dr. Buras joined the AAMC Breast Center in August 2011. He has 20 years of prior experience in the management of breast cancer and benign breast conditions. Prior to joining AAMC, Dr. Buras served as the director of breast surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Jackson is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon who joined the Breast Center at Anne Arundel Medical Center DeCesaris Cancer Institute in 2015. She received a Doctor of Medicine degree at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York, and a Master of Public Health degree from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Jackson completed a general surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship in breast surgery at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She is board-certified in general surgery.

Dr. Jackson’s interests include ultrasound of the axilla to refine treatment of breast cancer, improving the surgical approach to nipple-sparing mastectomy, and geographic and racial disparities in access to surgical care. She is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Molly joined the AAMC Breast Center team in 2007 after working in Hematology/Oncology for seven years on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She brings oncology expertise to our patients going through cancer surgery and on to chemotherapy and radiation. Molly completed her Physician Assistant training at Anne Arundel Community College and received her BS in biology from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Victoria attended Georgetown University where she received her BS degree in Biology. After pursuing a career in cardiac nursing, she earned her MS degree from the University of Maryland. Her graduate education included training in oncology as a clinical nurse specialist. She was board-certified as an adult nurse practitioner in 2008. She practiced in Internal Medicine in Laurel, Md., prior to coming to The Breast Center in 2011. She is Co-Director of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland's Central District here in Annapolis.
